There are always a few ideas bubbling in the sketchbook. The main ones at the moment are:
Music for Muselar virginals
A contribution to David Pollock's forthcoming recording of modern music for muselar virginals.
Postcards of Norway
A complete string quartet, of which Fløyen in the rain
will be one movement.
Recorder music
two works, one for two recorders, harpsichord and cello a modern trio sonata
and one for the haunting sound of a solo tenor recorder.
The seasons
a musical celebration of the seasons, conceived in terms of the sound of the
wonderful Norwegian
ensemble Trio Mediæval.
Osterley Suite IV
for solo cello, working up sketches from the final Ignation Day at the Osterley Retreat Centre.
A further mystery
for cello and double bass. This is intended to round off a concert/prayer programme
built round the first five of the Biber Mystery Sonatas (played an octave lower than written
on the top four strings of a five string cello, with jazz bass as the continuo instrument). This
means it wont exactly be jazz, but then again...
